Arts Action Alert: Pennsylvania Council on the Arts faces 70% cut in funding

The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) is facing a 70% cut in funding in the House Appropriations Committee’s budget proposal.At Stake:

  • Nearly $6 million in state grants to arts organizations, projects and programs that serve every county in the Commonwealth.
  • 4,000 days in classrooms through the PCA’s Arts in Education programs.
  • Millions of dollars in economic activity for local businesses that benefit from PCA funded events.

Take Action: Contact your State Representative and let them know that you are against cuts to the PCA and would like to see it funded at the $8.262 million level proposed by the Governor in his budget.
